Great Strides 2008!!!

Ok...so this is my first blog ever, bear with me...so I will first introduce myself...my name is Jolie Cate...and this blog is for me and my BFF Kelsey Brooke (aka K-Bug or Kels "as I like to call her) to document our adventures together. Last week we participated in the Great Strides walk that benefits research for Cystic Fibrosis (CF)...this is a genetic lung disease that my Uncle Jeff "Bubba" lost his life to in 2000. I really wish I could have met him...he sounds like the coolest dude, but I hear about him all the time and I know we will see each other one day...and that makes me feel better. I first wanted to Thank my friend Kels for being with me on Sunday to walk for such a wonderful cause...her Mommy and Daddy are very sweet and I can tell they have hearts of Gold...so without further ado (that's BIG words for a baby)...pics of me and Kels...working up a sweat...

Let's PLAY BALL

as told by: Kelsey (aka K-Bug)

So on Friday, I called my little friend Jolie (I call her Jols for short) to see if she wanted to go watch a Texas Ranger game with me and my Mommy and Daddy. Of course she had to ask her Mommy and Daddy if it was ok and they said "Yes"!

So, off to my closet to find out what I was going to wear. Jols had told me that she was going to wear her Rangers onesie. When I looked in my closet, I was really sad because mommy and daddy hadn't bought me a Rangers onesie and I wanted to look like Jols. When I told her that I was sad, she asked her Mommy if I could borrow one of hers. Her Mommy picked out a red one for me to wear...with a matching navy bow. Jols wore a navy onesie with a matching red bow! We were opposites! I couldn't wait to see her so we could turn heads with all of our cuteness!

My Mommy and Daddy are such slow pokes so we ended up at the game an hour late. I was SOO embarrassed. Jols had to wait for us for forever. I was afraid she was going to be mad at me...even though it wasn't my fault. But, she wasn't! She said that BFF's don't get mad over silly things like that...and besides, she was hungry and wanted to eat so it gave her enough time to enjoy her dinner before the game.

When we met at the gate, Jolie's mommy gave me my onesie and my mommy changed my clothes in the girl's bathroom. Jols and I were trying to talk and catch up but we couldn't even hear each other over my mommy and her mommy. They always talk funny! Just a bunch of gibberish if you ask me. But I can always understand Jols! After we got dressed we went to our seats. See how cute we are!!

We didn't watch much of the game. I was a little jealous sometimes though because my mommy was holding Jols a little too much. And I was getting hungry so I wanted my mommy. And Jols was getting hungry too. But my mommy was holding her a lot...so we had to switch back to our mommies to get some food.

After we got fed, I was getting sleepy but I didn't want to fall asleep and miss all of the action. Jols' daddy let me dance on his lap. But when I looked over at Jols and she was zonked out on her mommy. Oh well...we had fun while she was awake.

And while she was sleeping, we held feetsies.

It was a pretty good night. I think the Rangers lost though...I'm not real sure cause I don't know how to keep score or read the score board. But Jolie's daddy seemed kinda sad...so I think he was sad cause they lost. But I clapped anyway....cause I had fun with my BFF Jols!

Thanks for coming Jolie! You are my bestest friend ever!!
